On Youtube there are many movies that are simply to be viewed. They are sometimes interesting, entertaining, or informative. There are also some films that are made with the intent of educating its viewers by taking them on an adventure that they might not otherwise have had the opportunity to experience in their lives. The mousehunt in punjabi is one example of this kind of film. It has been made in order to teach listeners about Punjabi culture in a fun and interactive manner by following the adventures of three children who have recently moved from Canada to India so their mother can enter into a arranged marriage with a man living in India named Rohan Sachdeva. However, their mother has not told them this important piece about their new life, which leads to many misunderstandings and eventually to disaster. Their adventures are often complicated because they find it difficult understand the language and the Indian customs. The movie is meant to be educational as it teaches viewers about the differences between Canadian culture and Indian culture, specifically in terms of food, clothing, speech patterns, lifestyles, etc. The film is made up of ten short episodes that are between three and six minutes long each. The three main characters are named Ruhan (the mouse), Harman (the elephant), and Simran (the lion). They and their friends and family accompany them on their adventures. The three main characters befriend an Indian boy named Shikhar who lives in the same house as them. Besides having many adventures, the main characters also have many misadventures because they are not always aware of how to properly use the behaviors of the culture being navigated. The first episode begins with Ruhan being sent to deliver a package to someone named Ambika. When he arrives at her house, she accidentally spills water all over his uniform causing him to look very grimy and making him look about five years old instead of being seventeen. This error in his appearance causes him to be dismissed from the door. He then goes to King's Bakery and asks for some bread. The shopkeeper calls out various names that sound like "bread" to try and get him to understand, such as "bree," which sounds similar to "bread." He does not understand but eventually is given a loaf of bread. The scene ends with Ruhan asking for a sandwich and the shopkeeper calling out again: "Bree, bree, bree." The second scene is of Ruhan and Harman playing with their friend Shikhar who is showing them how he cook chapattis (Indian flatbread). The third scene is of Ruhan and his friends going to the movies. They purchase their tickets and enter the theater. The fourth scene is of Ruhan, Harman, and Simran playing cricket in the field near their home. An older boy named Ramjeet comes to join them for a while but then leaves to play badminton with his sister. The three main characters continue to play cricket for a while but then leave to eat lunch. The fifth scene is of Ruhan cooking roasted corn over an open flame on the street.
